. . . it’s been far too long since I shared with you the tunes that I’ve been working to! I really tried to hold out on holiday music until after Thanksgiving, but at the rate that I have been working, I have gone through my Itunes playlist SO many times, that I had to turn to Christmas music for some needed variety! That, coupled with seeing all of the great holiday card designs from Nikki come across my computer - well, I’m definitely in the spirit. . . . I braved the beltway on the tail end of morning rush hour to photograph this family in Northern Virginia.  When Mom told me her son was a Wiggles fan, I knew that it wouldn’t take long for us to be buddies (not that I am a fan, necessarily, but subjected to their music, ahem, a bit frequently).  He pulled his guitar out and performed a bit, told me all about airplanes, and wanted SO badly to keep his sunglasses on during the session.  I’m so glad he didn’t though, because I would have been terribly disappointed not to capture those sparkley eyes!  Hang in there Mom, more on the way!

. . . shhhh don’t tell this mom, but in fact, her son giggled and laughed quite a bit during our time together!  I’m positive that if he could have seen himself in THE HAT, he would have smiled a bit more.  Absolutely precious, and looking just like a little lumberjack.  Mom apparently went on a little spree at Lil’ Lamb Shop and boy did she get some great stuff.  Lots more for her to see, and many family shots as well as these of the little man.  We had a beautiful morning, in a lovely setting for their shoot!

. . . We are burning the candles at both ends over here!  And I say we because there is a serious team effort going on!  Nikki is cranking out some jaw-dropping card & album designs, Belle is a packaging, ordering and organizing machine, and well, I’m doing my best to make sure that everything that needs to happen does so in time for the big day, which is SIX weeks from today!  Can you believe that?  If CG could tie a bow, she’d be in on the action too.

Just a quick note that I will be out of town, returning Monday, but your beautiful families will be traveling with me (so to speak) so that I can continue to work through gallery preparation, ordering, etc.  However, I will have very limited access to email and phone, so if you contact me, you might not receive a response until I return.

Thanks to everyone who has made this such an unbelievable year….and we’re not done yet!

. . . these two brothers were spirited to say the least!  We had a lot of fun at Bay Ridge beach and captured some GREAT family images as well as those you see here.  It’s getting really tough to blog these days because I have to read my client’s minds to figure out what they *might* use for their holiday card!  I’m just glad I’m not the one that has to choose a favorite image from this session!

Lil’ Lamb Veteran’s Day Sale

. . . that’s the way I’ve been feeling these days when I show up on location, and meet yet another beautifully dressed, wonderful, warm family!  While I’m focused most on capturing the love and fun between the parents and their children, it’s impossible to notice just how great the results are when they are dressed LIKE THIS!  I have to say that every Mommy (assuming she’s the one doing the shopping) gets an A++ this fall for the wardrobe choices she’s made for her children & family.  It is really so much fun for me, since I love love love to capture color in my photographs.  Now, of course you can see that this little guy is equally cute in black and white, but I do love the way the brilliant fall colors pop off of the page!

And, since I know I will receive at least 4 emails by the end of the day…these are the answers to your two questions:

I do NOT know where Mom’s jacket is from, but hopefully she’ll leave a comment and let us know

. . . if I borrowed that coat, and forgot to give it back?  Yes, I am in fact coveting the coat of a 2 year old boy, but aren’t you?  I will be posting more pics of this darling little fellow, who’s sweet Mom apparently knows of a haberdashery for the toddler set.  I haven’t used impeccable to describe a little boy this age, in a long time.  Or maybe ever.  LOVED him - and his parents.  This is especially for Dad…who I am sure will be happy to see this.

THAT cute!  I loved this little guy as soon as he got out of the car…the apple green scarf had me at hello.  I shot this session just as the weather started to turn a week ago, and it was actually quite fun to see his family all bundled up for fall.  Choosing images for the blog these days, has become a bit of a challenge because I never know which one Mom & Dad will choose for their holiday card…there’s one in particular, from this session that I might just have to show you after the holidays.  SUPER cute!
