zachary’s jewelers little rocks club!

annapolis photographer . . . need something fun to do with your little one?  Visit Zachary’s Jewelers downtown Annapolis store on Tuesday, February 8th at 10am, when Carol Coleman, “Queen of Hearts” storyteller, will be sharing some great old-fashioned storytelling with the children!  And I suppose as long as you’re there, wandering around looking at sparkley things isn’t such a bad thing to do :-)   Great chance to fill out your wish list just in time for Valentine’s Day – I call that multi-tasking at its best.  Kids are happy, and so is Momma!

For more details call the store at (410) 266-5555 or visit the website at www.zacharysjewelers.com

warmer days | annapolis photographer

annapolis photographer . . . yup.  Me again.  You probably don’t actually believe it, but another blog post from me with less than a month lapsing between.  As I’ve written the past few posts, I’m remembering how much I really enjoyed my blog and sharing my beautiful clients and their families with you.  Looking out my office window at a very chilly scene, this beach session from last summer came to mind, and has helped thaw things if only in my imagination.  These days will surely return, but just as certain is that these sweet children will be a year older.  I am so glad that I had the chance to photograph them at these ages.  And while they may grow up on the outside, I know they will always be their momma’s babies in her heart.

“mines” | child photographer

annapolis photographer . . . for those of you reading who have children, have you ever been guilty of not correcting your little person’s grammar because doing so would make them a little more grown up then you are willing for them to be?  I’ll plead the fifth, but go ahead and make the assumption that I’m guilty as charged.  There are just a few of these little words that are left in my girl’s vocabulary, and because I know she’s not going to end up in third grade speaking poor English, I figure, what’s the big deal, right?  Ok, speaking of good grammar, how about that sentence? Nice.

Up until recently, when she refers to that which belongs to her (or she believes it does or should belong to her) she refers to said object as “mines.”  And why shouldn’t she?  Ours, hers, his, etc. all end in “s” so why shouldn’t “mine?”  I dread the day I have to explain their, there and they’re, but fortunately, that’s a ways off.  Until then, here are “mines,” just enjoying the weekend.
