. . . well of course you do (if you’re from around these parts)!  If by some crazy chance you don’t, well, you should.  Because, you see, Alexa is magic.  She can take an aching back, neck, hip, or whatever-ails-you, and turn it into butter in a matter of minutes.  The owner of Even Keel Wellness Spa in Eastport, Alexa has brought together a VERY talented team of massage therapists and estheticians, and created and relaxing and luxurious place for her clients to enjoy a wide array of massage and facial treatments.  Lex is a master of Thai massage and o.m.g. if you haven’t tried that, just stop reading now and call her.  right now.

I’m thrilled that the image below, taken during an engagement session last summer, was chosen for the Annapolis In Love poster!  I loved this session, and this beautiful couple is certainly in LOVE!  If you haven’t heard of Annapolis in Love, it’s a weekend celebration of Annapolis being the most romantic City in America, and love will be in the air April 16 – 18th in every part of our beloved town.  City street names will be changed, and romantic events and specials will be offered by numberous hotels, B & B’s, restaurants, and merchants, including concerts movie marathons and lingerie shows! Many businesses will provide door prizes, raffles and a silent auction will take place throughout Annapolis to help benefit the American Heart Association. Take a stroll down Lover’s Lane and share this adventure with the person you love. If you haven’t yet found that person, he or she may just be in Annapolis on this weekend. There will even be dinner parties, a Single’s Brunch sail and events which will provide the opportunity to meet someone special.

The most important goal of the weekend – have fun and enjoy our beautiful city of Annapolis!

. . . yesterday was a beautiful day here…actually the past few days have been beautiful here.  Such a nice change from all of the dreary winter weather we had become so accustomed too.  Yesterday was a particularly beautiful day because my Gran celebrated her 90th birthday.  As in ninetieth.  As in NINETIETH!  If you know Gran, you are not at all surprised   My favorite part of celebrating with her was watching her with Caroline – the joy in their eyes and their love for each other is palpable.  I wonder, when CG gets older, if she’ll remember the day?  Will she remember endless pushes on the rope swing in Grandpop’s back yard?  Will she remember all of the people that she met, who know HER all too well from the stories Gran tells?  Will she remember the “oops I stuck my finger in the cake, I guess now I’ll have to eat this icing on it” moment?  I can’t wait to celebrate Gran’s 100th birthday, and we have assured her that we will let Willard Scott know.

. . . stopped me in my tracks.  A late night / long day of preparing client galleries and I just had to stop what I was doing to post this.  There are two reasons why this mommy is smiling: one – she has a beautiful new baby boy who is more squishable than you can imagine, and two – she looks THAT good after just having that baby boy!  BOTH are BIG reasons to smile
