daydreaming
. . . digging out from a ton of emails and some work on the computer, and took a moment to check out my friend Kirsten’s new website. Kirsten owns a fab travel company called Amazing Adventures. She and I met more than TEN years ago (can you believe that KT?) when we traveled together on an exploratory trip to a remote Indonesian island, which was put together for dive tour operators to test the waters (pun, intended). It’s pretty easy to get to know someone while spending 11 hours on a small rickety ferry boat, with them, and we did just that on our way to spend a week on a tiny island called Sangalaki. It didn’t take long for Kirsten and I to become fast friends. The fact that she is one of the funniest, and brightest people ever, didn’t hurt either. My friend Martin might argue, but without a doubt Kirsten is the MOST well-traveled person I know…she rattles off remote corners of the world the way we talk about a trip to the mall, and can tell you everything you need to know about ANYWHERE you’d ever want to travel. There are still many places on my dream list, that I hope to visit someday, and seeing them through my wee bug’s eyes will make the adventure even better. I’d say THIS is at the top of my list, and without a doubt, Kirsten will be the one to help us get there. That “family” shot at the top of the page is unbelievable.
back to work…
