I photographed these girls when they were days old, and while it’s true that newborn twins aren’t easy to photograph, at least they couldn’t go anywhere I had a ball chasing them around the studio, and loved playing dress up with 2 little live dolls. That being said, telling them apart AFTER the session, when preparing their galleries was another story -

. . . “What’s Great about America,” John Stossel’s first documentary to air on the Fox News Channel, premiered this past Saturday and Sunday, in celebration of the July 4th holiday. KT McFarland, Fox News Contributor, was interviewed for the program, and I was asked if an image I had taken of she and her daughter, could be included in the program. Of course I said YES! I met the McFarlands during USNA Commissioning Week in 2007, when I photographed their family. Regardless where you stand on the issues politically, it’s hard to deny that we live in the greatest Country in the world, and Stossel’s show reminds us of that in so many ways. I am thankful to have been born in the USA, to have been given the gift of opportunity to chase my dreams, and to know the freedoms that so many around the world don’t know. It’s true that America might not be perfect, but I traveled the world for many years and can tell you that I have yet to find a place where the grass is greener than my own backyard (its current status of being nearly dead from the heat not withstanding). I love this Country. I am proud of my grandparents who became US citizens after emigrating from Europe in search of opportunity, and am grateful for all of the men and women serving in our military to protect our freedoms – including the beautiful young woman pictured below.

. . . {insert schmoopy music here}. . . I’m thrilled that the image below, taken during an engagement session last summer, was chosen for the Annapolis In Love poster! I loved this session, and this beautiful couple is certainly in LOVE! If you haven’t heard of Annapolis in Love, it’s a weekend celebration of Annapolis being the most romantic City in America, and love will be in the air April 16 – 18th in every part of our beloved town. City street names will be changed, and romantic events and specials will be offered by numberous hotels, B & B’s, restaurants, and merchants, including concerts movie marathons and lingerie shows! Many businesses will provide door prizes, raffles and a silent auction will take place throughout Annapolis to help benefit the American Heart Association. Take a stroll down Lover’s Lane and share this adventure with the person you love. If you haven’t yet found that person, he or she may just be in Annapolis on this weekend. There will even be dinner parties, a Single’s Brunch sail and events which will provide the opportunity to meet someone special.
The most important goal of the weekend – have fun and enjoy our beautiful city of Annapolis!

There are two reasons why this mommy is smiling: one – she has a beautiful new baby boy who is more squishable than you can imagine, and two – she looks THAT good after just having that baby boy! BOTH are BIG reasons to smile

. . . for finally giving us a break in the RAIN! This family traveled from Howard County to Annapolis for their session, and if I’m not mistaken, three times is a charm because that’s how many reschedules we had! The weather was PERFECT on the day that they were here, and I would like to thank downtown Annapolis for providing what is always the perfect backdrop for my portrait sessions
